DESCRIPTION:To book your place\, click here to visit the booking page\nFull Day Landscape Painting Workshop – January\n‘Snowlight and Silhouettes’\n10-5pm\nSpend a creative day at my Ditchling studio painting a winter woodland filled with golden light. Inspired by this snowy scene\, we’ll explore the contrast between warm sunlight\, cool shadows and the dark silhouettes of trees\, creating a landscape with depth and atmosphere. \nI’ll guide you through the painting step by step\, from establishing your composition and softly lit background to building the trees\, snow and foreground details. You’ll learn how to mix a harmonious winter palette\, suggest distance and use highlights and shadows to bring the scene to life. \nWorking on a 42cm x 36cm board\, you’ll explore how to build a convincing woodland scene using layered acrylic techniques\, creating a sense of space\, light and natural movement throughout the composition. \nWith a maximum of five participants\, this workshop offers plenty of individual guidance in a relaxed and supportive studio environment. \nBy the end of the workshop\, you’ll have a well-developed landscape painting and a deeper understanding of how to create light-filled\, atmospheric countryside scenes using acrylics. Many paintings will be complete by the end of the day\, while others may continue to evolve afterwards — just as my own work often does. You’ll leave with the skills\, techniques and confidence to further refine and develop your painting at home if you choose. \nSuitable for beginners and more experienced painters alike\, this workshop offers a friendly and inspiring studio environment where you can develop new skills while creating your own atmospheric landscape to take home. \n\nPractical Information\nAs this is a larger-scale composition with several stages to complete\, we’ll be keeping the lunch break to 30 minutes to allow plenty of painting time throughout the day. \nPlease bring your own lunch and any snacks you may wish to have during the workshop. DESCRIPTION:To book your place\, click here to visit the booking page\nFull Afternoon Landscape Painting Workshop – February\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n‘Russet Woodland Light’\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA 5 hour immersive landscape painting workshop. \nJoin me at my studio in Ditchling\, East Sussex\, for a full afternoon landscape painting workshop in acrylic\, inspired by sunlight filtering through autumn woodland. \nWe’ll paint a leaf-covered path beneath a canopy of golden and copper foliage\, exploring how light\, colour and shadow create depth and atmosphere. Dark tree trunks\, softly receding woodland and rich foreground textures will give us plenty of opportunities to develop a layered\, atmospheric painting. \nTo enable you to complete the painting within the workshop\, we’ll be working on a 35cm x 30cm board\, allowing you to focus on the key techniques and processes needed to create a finished landscape in a single afternoon. \nBy the end of the workshop\, you’ll have a well-developed landscape painting and a deeper understanding of how to create light-filled\, atmospheric countryside scenes using acrylics. Many paintings will be complete by the end of the day\, while others may continue to evolve afterwards — just as my own work often does. You’ll leave with the skills\, techniques and confidence to further refine and develop your painting at home if you choose. \nSuitable for all abilities\, this small-group workshop\, with no more than 5 participants\, offers a relaxed and supportive environment with plenty of individual guidance throughout. \nAll materials are included\, along with tea\, coffee\, and light refreshments.
