SUMMARY:December Seasonal Landscape Painting Course - Tuesday Mornings
DESCRIPTION:To book your place\, click here to visit the booking page:\nDecember  Seasonal Landscape Painting Course – Winter’s Golden Light\nOver four weekly sessions\, I’ll guide you through the development of a finished landscape painting\, exploring how to build depth\, atmosphere and a sense of light through layers of acrylic paint and mixed media. \nIn December’s course\, we’ll paint a quiet winter landscape at sunset. A low golden sun glows beyond the bare trees\, while its warm colour reflects across still water and the surrounding snow settles into cool blue shadows. \nWorking in acrylics on a 45cm × 38cm MDF board\, you will be guided step by step through my layered organic landscape process\, learning how to build natural meadow depth\, create luminous light effects. Demonstrations and individual guidance throughout the course will help you simplify the scene\, balance colour harmony and understand how to create movement and atmosphere within your painting. \nHeld over four consecutive weeks\, this course allows time to work slowly and thoughtfully\, building layers and refining your composition to create a beautifully light-filled spring landscape. Your painting will feel complete by the end of the course\, though\, as with all layered work\, it may continue to evolve with further refinement over time. \nHeld in a small\, intimate group\, there is plenty of opportunity for one-to-one tuition and personal support at every stage. All materials are provided\, including quality paints\, brushes and boards\, so you can simply arrive and enjoy the creative process. \nSuitable for all abilities\, including beginners and improvers — no technical experience required\, just a willingness to explore\, learn and enjoy the process. \nEach monthly course runs over four consecutive weeks\, and every month we explore a completely fresh seasonal landscape\, chosen to reflect the colours\, light\, and mood of the season. This keeps your learning experience varied\, inspiring\, and closely connected to the natural world. \nTo ensure accessibility\, course days rotate each month between Tuesdays and Wednesdays. \nClasses are small and informal\, with a maximum of five students\, allowing for individual guidance and attention to each stage of your painting. \nBOOK HERE

SUMMARY:'Meadow Alchemy' 4 Hour Painting Workshop FULLY BOOKED!!
DESCRIPTION:An immersive and inspiring workshop where you’ll learn the expressive techniques I use in my own painting practice.\nProcess-led: paint rolling\, dripping & spattering with sculpted impasto flowers\n  \n‘Meadow Alchemy’ explores a process-led approach to creating a contemporary wildflower landscape using acrylics on board. \nWe’ll start by setting the scene and applying a soft gradient background. From there\, we’ll add movement and energy with loose layers of wild grasses and stems\, using different techniques such as paint rolling\, dripping\, and playful paint spattering. \nIn 4 hours\, you’ll learn the techniques and materials I use in my own work to create a richly textured landscape painting of your own. Working with acrylics on board\, you’ll be guided step by step to create your own piece to take home and be proud of\, with the understanding and confidence to keep refining it further if you wish. \nYour painting will be created on a 25cm x 25cm 3mm MDF board; a beautifully responsive and durable surface that works perfectly with layered acrylic techniques and is ideal for framing\, which many participants choose to do after the session. \nRun from the comfort of my Studio in Ditchling\, in a supportive and nurturing environment with an intimate group of up to six people\, allowing one to one tuition. \nSuitable for all artistic abilities\, even if you’re a complete novice\, the methods we’ll be using are easy to learn and apply. \nThe cost is £65 per person\, including quality artists’ paints\, boards\, and a range of inspiring materials to experiment with. You don’t need to bring a thing\, just come along and create your own little work of art! \nPLEASE NOTE:\nThe images shown illustrate examples of paintings created using the same techniques and process taught during the workshop\, but in different colour palettes. The specific colours used on the day may vary\, as a selected palette is chosen for each session. However\, alternative colour options can often be accommodated\, including palettes shown in the example images. If you have a preferred colour palette\, please mention this in the ‘Additional Information’ section when booking and I will take this into consideration\, where possible.

SUMMARY:Full Afternoon Landscape Painting Workshop - 'Snow in the Morning Glow'
DESCRIPTION:To book your place\, click here to visit the booking page:\n\n\nFull Afternoon Landscape Painting Workshop – November\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n‘Snow in the Morning Glow’\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n12.30-5.30pm \nA 5 hour immersive landscape painting workshop. \nImmerse yourself in the quiet beauty of an atmospheric river landscape bathed in the soft glow of early light. \nSpend a creative afternoon painting a peaceful winter landscape\, where golden sunlight filters through the delicate branches of a birch tree and a snow-covered path leads into the distance. Soft pinks and lilacs mingle with cool blue shadows\, creating a beautiful contrast with the warmth of the sky. \nWorking in acrylics\, I’ll guide you step by step through building this atmospheric composition. We’ll explore blending a glowing sky\, creating depth with distant trees and mist\, and using subtle colour to give snow shape and texture. You’ll also learn how to develop the birch tree’s distinctive bark and fine branches\, before adding frosted grasses and finishing touches to the foreground. \nTo enable you to complete the painting within the workshop\, we’ll be working on a 35cm x 30cm board\, allowing you to focus on the key techniques and processes needed to create a finished landscape in a single afternoon. \nBy the end of the workshop\, you’ll have a well-developed landscape painting and a deeper understanding of how to create light-filled\, atmospheric countryside scenes using acrylics. Many paintings will be complete by the end of the day\, while others may continue to evolve afterwards — just as my own work often does. You’ll leave with the skills\, techniques and confidence to further refine and develop your painting at home if you choose. \nSuitable for all abilities\, this small-group workshop\, with no more than 5 participants\, offers a relaxed and supportive environment with plenty of individual guidance throughout. \nAll materials are included\, along with tea\, coffee\, and light refreshments. As this is a continuous 5-hour session\, there won’t be a formal lunch break\, but you’re very welcome to bring sandwiches or snacks to eat during the workshop. \n  \nBOOK HERE
