An immersive and inspiring workshop where you’ll learn the expressive techniques I use in my own painting practice.

Expressive brush-led grasses and seedheads, enriched with textured sponging and sculpted impasto flowers.

This workshop focuses on creating a soft, painterly wildflower landscape using acrylics on board. You’ll begin by building a gentle, atmospheric background with sponged layers of textured acrylics, before developing flowing grasses, stems and seed heads using expressive brushwork to create movement, rhythm and structure across the painting.

In just hours, you’ll learn the techniques and materials I use in my own work to create a richly textured landscape painting of your own. Working with acrylics on board, you’ll be guided step by step to create your own piece to take home and be proud of, with the understanding and confidence to keep refining it further if you wish.

Your painting will be created on a 26cm x 26cm 3mm MDF board; a beautifully responsive and durable surface that works perfectly with layered acrylic techniques and is ideal for framing, which many participants choose to do after the session.

Run from the comfort of my Studio in Ditchling, in a supportive and nurturing environment with an intimate group of up to six people, allowing one to one tuition.

This workshop is SUITABLE FOR ALL ARTISTIC ABILITIES, even if you’re a complete novice, the methods we’ll be using are easy to learn and apply.

PLEASE NOTE:
The images shown illustrate examples of paintings created using the same techniques and process taught during the workshop, but in different colour palettes. The specific colours used on the day may vary, as a selected palette is chosen for each session. However, alternative colour options can often be accommodated, including palettes shown in the example images. If you have a preferred colour palette, please mention this in the ‘Additional Information’ section when booking.
