Full Afternoon Landscape Painting Workshop – January
A 5 hour immersive landscape painting workshop.
Inspired by golden sunlight filtering through bare trees beside a snow-covered stream, this January workshop explores the contrast between warm winter light and cool blue shadows. We’ll build an atmospheric landscape with softly glowing reflections, snowy banks and silhouetted branches.
To enable you to complete the painting within the workshop, we’ll be working on a 35cm x 30cm board, allowing you to focus on the key techniques and processes needed to create a finished landscape in a single afternoon.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a well-developed landscape painting and a deeper understanding of how to create light-filled, atmospheric countryside scenes using acrylics. Many paintings will be complete by the end of the day, while others may continue to evolve afterwards — just as my own work often does. You’ll leave with the skills, techniques and confidence to further refine and develop your painting at home if you choose.
Suitable for all abilities, this small-group workshop, with no more than 5 participants, offers a relaxed and supportive environment with plenty of individual guidance throughout.
All materials are included, along with tea, coffee, and light refreshments. As this is a continuous 5-hour session, there won’t be a formal lunch break, but you’re very welcome to bring sandwiches or snacks to eat during the workshop.
