Organic Landscape Paintings
Inspired by the ever-changing light and atmosphere of the natural landscape, my Organic Landscape paintings explore the emotional connection between place, memory and nature. Through layers of texture and intuitive mark-making, each painting evolves organically, capturing not just the landscape itself, but the feeling of being immersed within it.
My Artistic Journey
My work has evolved naturally over the years, with each collection reflecting a different stage of my creative journey. Earlier in my career I became known for bold, expressive landscapes and contemporary floral paintings, exploring colour, simplified forms and stylised interpretations of nature. These paintings became an important part of my artistic career and continue to inspire the workshops I teach today.
As time has passed, however, I have found myself increasingly drawn towards a more intuitive and organic way of painting. Rather than interpreting the landscape, I now strive to respond to it—capturing the fleeting light, shifting atmosphere and changing seasons through layers, texture and observation.
Inspired by my deep connection with the natural world, my Organic Landscape paintings are an expression of the places that move me most. I’m fascinated by the way light transforms the landscape, creating moments of beauty, atmosphere and stillness that can never be repeated. Rather than simply painting what I see, my aim is to evoke the feeling of being immersed in the landscape and to capture the emotion that those fleeting moments leave behind.
It wasn’t a conscious decision to leave one style behind; it simply felt like a natural progression. Painting organically has allowed me to express my connection with nature in a way that feels instinctive, authentic and true to my artistic voice. Organic Landscapes have become the heart of my painting practice, while the expressive techniques that shaped my earlier work continue to live on through my workshops and the demonstration paintings I create alongside my students.

My Expressive Collection celebrates the four painting subjects that have inspired my workshops for many years. Rich in colour, texture and expressive mark-making, these original paintings reflect an intuitive and joyful approach to painting, encouraging creativity, confidence and a deeper appreciation of the natural world.
Although my own artistic practice has naturally evolved towards Organic Landscapes, expressive painting remains an important part of my creative journey. These four collections continue to inspire the workshops I teach today, inviting artists of all abilities to explore colour, atmosphere and texture in a relaxed and accessible way.
