Introducing My New Half-Day Seasonal Landscape Workshops
Starting 21 March

There’s something very special about painting a landscape in step with the seasons.
As many of you know, my longer seasonal courses have become a much-loved part of my teaching — gently guiding students through my layered acrylic process, inspired by the ever-changing beauty of the Sussex countryside. But I also know that not everyone can commit to a four-week course.
So I’m delighted to introduce a new format for 2026 — Half-Day Seasonal Landscape Workshops, beginning on 21 March.
A Spring-Inspired Composition
Our first workshop will celebrate early spring — that magical moment when the landscape begins to soften and awaken. Think fresh greens emerging in the hedgerows, lighter skies, and that sense of possibility that comes with longer days.
Working in acrylics on board, I’ll guide you step by step through my signature layering technique — building atmospheric skies, gentle distance, and textured foregrounds full of life and movement. As always, the focus will be on creating depth, light and feeling — not just copying a photograph, but capturing the essence of the landscape.
What to Expect
These half-day sessions are designed to be:
- Relaxed and inspiring
- Suitable for all abilities (no technical ability required — just the right guidance)
- Small and supportive, with plenty of one-to-one tuition
- A chance to learn my proven layering process in a manageable, enjoyable format
You’ll leave with a beautiful seasonal landscape underway (or completed), along with techniques you can continue to use at home.
Why Half a Day?
Life is busy — and sometimes a few focused hours of creativity is exactly what we need.
A half-day workshop offers:
- A creative reset
- Time to immerse yourself in colour and texture
- A confidence boost in your painting
- A gentle but structured introduction to landscape painting
Whether you’ve attended my courses before or you’re completely new to painting, this format is designed to motivate and inspire you — and perhaps even help you fall in love with painting all over again.
