Come and join me for a fun-filled day learning how to create a beautiful ‘Meadow Landscape’ painting, where I’ll share the methods and techniques I use in my work as a professional artist.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own finished painting – a striking meadow composition layered with colour, light and shimmering metallic detail.

I’ve always been passionate about trees and forests, and this workshop is all about capturing the feeling of walking through a magical sunlit woodland. Even if you’re a complete beginner, the techniques we’ll use are simple, enjoyable, and easy to learn.

Working with acrylics on board, we’ll build up layers of colour and texture to create depth and atmosphere. You’ll experiment with a variety of tools: silicone spatulas, credit cards, applicator bottles, rigger brushes, and even nails for scratching into the surface—to add detail and character to your forest scene. To finish, we’ll use shimmering metallic rubs in gold and silver for that final touch of woodland magic.

Your painting will be created on a 35cm x 35cm x 3mm MDF board; a beautifully responsive and durable surface that works perfectly with layered acrylic techniques and is ideal for framing, which many participants choose to do after the session.

A break for lunch will be taken, with afternoon tea, which includes scones with cream and jam, a selection of sandwiches and cake, and hot beverages.
