Full Afternoon Landscape Painting Workshop – July

A 4½ hour immersive landscape painting workshop.

Join me in the studio this June for a relaxed and immersive full afternoon landscape painting workshop, where we’ll be creating an atmospheric river landscape bathed in the soft glow of early light.

In this extended afternoon workshop, we’ll explore how to create a sense of depth, mood and luminosity as mist drifts across the landscape and warm sunlight breaks through the horizon. A winding river draws the eye through the composition, while silhouetted trees emerge gently from the haze, creating a scene that feels both peaceful and timeless.

Although this is a single afternoon session, the workshop is thoughtfully structured to allow you to work in a focused and immersive way. To enable the painting to be completed within one session, it is created on a 30cm x 25cm x 3mm MDF board — a beautifully responsive and durable surface that works perfectly with layered acrylic techniques and is ideal for framing, which many participants choose to do after the session.

Throughout the session, I’ll share many of the techniques I use in my own professional landscape paintings, helping you gain confidence in creating atmospheric effects and expressive landscapes of your own.

Suitable for both beginners and more experienced painters, this small-group workshop offers plenty of individual guidance in a relaxed and supportive environment.

All materials are included, along with tea, coffee, and light refreshments. As this is a continuous 4½-hour session, there won’t be a formal lunch break, but you’re very welcome to bring sandwiches or snacks to eat during the workshop.

By the end of the session, you’ll have created your own landscape and gained techniques you can continue to develop in your own work.

Payments & Cancellation

• Workshops are paid in full at the time of booking.
• Workshop payments are non-refundable if you cancel or do not attend, as preparation and materials are allocated for you.

  As workshops are small and often fully booked, I’m unable to offer refunds or transfers for cancellations made within 10 days, unless the space can be filled.

• If I cancel a session for unforeseen reasons, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.
