Join me for a special full-day Meadow Alchemy painting workshop at The Star in Alfriston, part of the Polizzi Collection.
Inspired by the colour, texture and movement of wildflower meadows, Meadow Alchemy is an expressive, process-led workshop in which I’ll guide you step by step through the layered techniques I use to create my own contemporary meadow paintings.
Working with acrylics on board, we’ll gradually build your painting through layers of colour and texture, exploring techniques including paint rolling, dripping, spattering and richly textured impasto flowers. I’ll demonstrate each stage before you work on your own painting, with plenty of individual guidance throughout the day.
The full-day format gives us additional time to develop and refine the painting, building greater depth, detail and texture while allowing you to experiment with the techniques at a relaxed pace.
No previous painting experience is necessary. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some painting experience who would like to explore a more expressive approach.

A relaxed and creative day in the beautiful surroundings of The Star, with everything provided so you can simply arrive, paint and enjoy the experience.
PLEASE NOTE:
The images shown illustrate examples of paintings created using the same techniques and process taught during the workshop, but in different colour palettes. The specific colours used on the day may vary, as a selected palette is chosen for each session. However, alternative colour options can often be accommodated, including palettes shown in the example images. If you have a preferred colour palette, please mention this in the ‘Additional Information’ section when booking and I will take this into consideration, where possible.
CANCELLATIONS
- Workshop payments are non-refundable if you cancel or do not attend, as preparation and materials are allocated for you. As workshops are small and often fully booked, I’m unable to offer refunds or transfers for cancellations made within 10 days, unless the space can be filled.
- If I cancel a session for unforeseen reasons, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.
