Join me for a fully immersive day of painting as we create a beautiful Meadow Landscape inspired by the colours, light and atmosphere of the natural world.
These special full-day workshops are reserved exclusively for my guest venues and offer a rare opportunity to spend an entire day immersed in my creative process in a relaxed and inspiring setting. Held in the beautiful studio within the Leonardslee Gardens grounds, this workshop allows us to work at a slower pace, exploring layers, colour, texture and atmosphere in far greater depth than is possible during a shorter session.
Throughout the day, I’ll share the methods and techniques I use in my own work as a professional artist, guiding you step-by-step as we create a vibrant meadow landscape filled with light, colour and movement. Working with acrylics on board, we’ll gradually build up multiple layers, developing depth and luminosity while exploring composition, texture, mark-making and the subtle details that bring a painting to life.
Unlike a shorter workshop, this fully immersive day gives you the time to enjoy the process, experiment with a wider range of techniques and watch the painting evolve layer by layer.
No artistic experience is required, and the meadow landscape itself is surprisingly achievable, making this a fun, rewarding and confidence-building experience for painters of all abilities.
You don’t need to bring a thing – all materials are provided and included in the price. Suitable for complete beginners as well as those with previous painting experience, the workshop is designed to be supportive, enjoyable and inspiring.
A short break will be taken for lunch, where you’ll enjoy a delicious buffet-style selection of sandwiches, followed by Leonardslee’s famous cream tea with freshly baked scones, jam and cream. Hot and cold refreshments are available throughout the day.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own finished meadow landscape painting on a 35cm x 35cm MDF board, together with a deeper understanding of the techniques, layering methods and creative approach that underpin my work.
