New for March: Abstract Floral Painting Course (Thursday Mornings)
I’m excited to announce a brand-new four-week Abstract Floral Painting Course starting this March at my Ditchling studio — and running every other month throughout the year. This immersive morning course is perfect for anyone who wants to dive deeper into expressive, contemporary floral painting and enjoy the space to develop a more considered, layered artwork over several weeks.

Across the four sessions, we’ll explore a range of abstract floral techniques using acrylics on board — building textured backgrounds, creating atmospheric colour transitions, and developing bold, intuitive forms through layering and mark-making. You’ll have plenty of time to experiment, refine ideas, and work at a relaxed pace, with guidance and demonstrations each week.
This course is different from my one-day Abstract Floral Workshop. While the one-day workshop is fast-paced and focuses on completing a full painting in a single session, the four-week course offers the time to build your piece gradually, explore techniques in more depth, and achieve a more developed, polished outcome. Each week adds a new layer of refinement, allowing your artwork to evolve naturally with plenty of support along the way.
Whether you’re new to abstract florals or looking to grow your confidence and creative voice, this course provides a supportive, inspiring environment to explore your own style. All materials are included, and you’ll finish with a beautifully developed piece that unfolds over the month.
